Did I think I would write a book when I first stayed at The Red Lion Inn? Never! But Simon became such a good friend that I was compelled to write a book about him. I hope you enjoy it. I stayed at the Stonebridge Inn many, many times, and each time I was there Simon the cat made an appearance. I was charmed by him. I loved his sense of curiosity, I loved his passion, I loved his sense of adventure, and I particularly enjoyed his love of fine cushions and fabrics. We were on a first name basis from the moment I met him. I rarely see cats with his attributes. (Or cat-ributes.) The staff at the inn would tell me how excited Simon was when he saw me. I so enjoyed seeing Simon that I felt compelled to write a book about him. The drawings will give you a pretty good idea what the inn looks like. I hope you enjoy reading about Simon as much as I enjoyed writing about him. ― Dr. Carl Werne Elliott Curson is an advertising creative director with experience in consumer, product, service, and political advertising.
