GOD AND ANCESTORS MADE ME THIS WAY is Frederick Douglas Harper’s 23rd book of poetry with prose and his 36th book overall. The book chronicles how God and ancestors have both guided and protected the author over his life’s journey. Harper describes how God and ancestors made him to be an earthly soul with the purpose of creating and serving for good cause. Also, he shares how he has been blessed to be a channel of messages from a spirit existence or heaven, some of which are prophetic, and how he has met others in life who have had prophetic or meaningful messages channeled through them. Some of the channeled messages of others have been comforting messages from their deceased loved ones, prophetic messages about strangers, and accurate clairvoyant prophecies about the author. As a reflection over his lifetime, Harper describes times and moments, during his lifetime, of sadness, joy, pride, and blessings. As usual in Frederick Douglas Harper’s poetic writings, there are poems with therapeutic, educational, moral, spiritual, and social-justice themes. In the last section of the book, there are inspirational and insightful “Thoughts and Quotes.”
