This is a commemorative story of the hundred-year journey of faith and vision of the founders of Mission Springs Camps and Conference Center Inc., located in Scotts Valley, California. It tells the story of Swedish immigrants who arrived in the United States in the mid-1800s looking to deepen their personal faith, centered on Christ and the scriptures. They arrived in California and developed Mission Springs for young adults and families to come together and grow in faith and prayer. The story covers the last hundred years from the beginning to the present, and contains quotes from the early founders, scripture verses tied to the theme of each chapter, and appendices with letters referring to the early growth and development. There are numerous photos and captions throughout the book highlighting the earliest days and continuing through the decades, depicting the physical growth as well as challenges caused by floods, fires, and earthquakes. The emphasis on renewal and revival of faith amid the beautiful redwood trees of the coast is evident throughout the story. Generations have passed through Mission Springs, and their relationships have been formed and strengthened through the beauty and safety of Mission Springs. God's provision is evident throughout. "This work is highly reflective of hours of research and thoughtful writing style to tell the story in ways that engage the reader of such richness of the past as it builds an anticipation of what God is going to do in the future. We are very impressed at this undertaking and super thankful for the writing team's commitment to such a sacred, beautiful project."
